Fusion-A Young Adult Ministry PDF Print E-mail
Fusion is the name of the new Young Adults Ministry on the Southwest District (which includes all United Methodist churches in Lancaster County). Liesel Spangler from Grandview is one of the organizers.  We are excited to announce the first two events of Fusion and the opportunity for all young adults to participate in the activities and in the leadership of the organization.

FREE BBQ, Games, and Sportsfest

When: Saturday, September 19 from 3pm until about 9pm

Where: Lancaster County Central Park Pavilion #21 (directions and maps can
be found online or at the Rangers Stations when you enter the park from Chesapeake Street)

Food: Dogs, Burgers, Chicken, Side dishes, Desserts, etc. served 5-7pm

Activities: Football, Quoits, Volleyball, Board Games, Music, Geocaching, Ladder Golf, Washers, and many more (and feel free to bring your favorite games)

Who: All young adults and their children (kid friendly but child care not
provided). Come and bring friends!



Corn Maze at Cherry Crest Farm and Bonfire at Long Memorial UMC

When: Saturday, October 24 from 4pm until about midnight

Where: Cherry Crest Farms and Long Memorial UMC

Meeting Times:  Optional Carpool to the Cherry Crest Farm Maze from Long Memorial UMC at 4pm (see website for a map to the church)

Meet Outside the gates at Cherry Crest Farm at 4:45pm (Call 333-9238 when you arrive if you can't find the group) (See website for map)

Bonfire at Long Memorial UMC at 7:30pm (see website for a map to the church)

Note: Feel free to join us for all or part of this event. If you want to just join us for the Maze or just the Bonfire that is fine

What: A chance to go through a corn maze by flashlight and to enjoy some of the Harvest Festival at Cherry Crest Farms. Then we will return to Long Memorial for a bonfire (in the field behind the cemetery), cider, snacks, and perhaps some acoustic music. Feel free to bring your guitars, bongo drums, and voices.
