Our Kids’ Bags are located in the back of the sanctuary and contain activities to keep small children engaged during worship. These bags need to be replenished roughly once a month. This entails sharpening pencils, cleaning out old papers, photocopying new activities (using books provided by Grandview) and placing them in the bags. It is not a time-consuming job but it is an important one. If you are interested or have any questions, contact Pastor Chris (394-6887).

United Methodist Women are concerned about global justice.  That's why we have Fair Trade products for sale in the Gathering Room, for your convenience.  If you buy coffee, tea, baking cocoa, cocoa, chocolate bars or cranberries in your local supermarket, check out those with the Fair Trade symbol and read what it says on the package. Support companies that are socially and environmentally responsible.  Buy Fair Trade wherever possible.  The self-serve display is available all week, not just on Sunday mornings. Be an informed consumer and then explain the rationale for your purchasing decisions with family and friends too.  Together we will make a difference today.  It's a fair deal for everyone!

Acolytes Needed PDF Print E-mail
Monday, January 04 2010 10:42
Are you tall enough to light the candles in the front of the church?  Are you strong enough to
open the Bible on the altar?  If you answered yes to these two questions, then you qualify to be an
acolyte.  Please consider joining our current acolytes who serve during the 10:45 worship service.
Acolytes help to provide a worship service for the people of Grandview. Light is a very important
symbol in our faith.  When acolytes begin our worship by lighting the candles, they do something
fairly simple – but it symbolizes something ancient, strong, and deeply important to the Christian
story:  Christ is the Light of the World!  The first two things to know about being an acolyte are it
is important and meaningful and you can do it. If you are interested in joining the team of
acolytes or for more information please contact Tammy Horning at 394-6887.
