Rev. Mindy McKonly is sponsoring a Journey Through the Bible trip to the Holy Land June 11-21, 2018. Brochures are available at the Hub. Bishop Peggy Johnson is considering an August trip to Nepal. The Children's Sunday School classes have been collecting offerings for Heifer International. The class started collections 2 weeks ago, and is now opening the collection up to the congregation. They are hoping to collect enough change to purchase animals to "fill the manger" through Heifer International. Funds will be collected Sunday's Dec. 17 and 24. Look for a bucket at the Social Justice table in the Gathering Space.

Members from the Grandview Bell Choir are participating in the Great Christmas Ring and you are invited to hear Christmas carols played by bell ringers from the Lancaster area. ring your kids and grand kids to visit Santa and hear the bell music on Saturday, Dec. 16, 11:30am-1:30pm, inside the Lancaster Marriott and Lancaster County Convention Center, Penn Square in Lancaster. Admission is free.

Each Sunday in Advent, a variety of music will enhance our worship and express the theme, "Peace Around the World".  The Grandview Sings! Children’s choir, bell choir, Celebration Band, and the senior choir are offering Advent and Christmas music with origins from across the globe. We look forward to hearing and singing familiar carols and anticipate the beauty and richness of new tunes from other nations.

Grandview Connections (GC) is a blog for discussing the weekly sermon content thus making connections between the pastors' words and the thoughts, feelings and actions of Grandview UMC members and friends.  The sermon is a starting point for what can be a very rich discussion about faith and will serve as a source for reflection and a building block for an online faith community that is available at any time. This form brings a new opportunity for giving. The form is an authorization agreement for direct deposit of your giving. The forms can be filled out and mailed to the church office to the attention of the financial secretary.

They are valuable to Red Bird Mission and Clinic in Kentucky, a special ministry of the United Methodist Church, serving four counties in the isolated rural distressed Appalachian Mountains. Place your boxtops and labels in the marked cupboard in the back of the Sanctuary. Please note that we must have the UPC code attached to the labels to receive the points.
