If you or someone who has been a part of the Grandview family is graduating please let us know so we can celebrate with you. Contact the church office with your student’s name, school they are graduating from, and what their future plans are.

 
UMC Judicial Council PDF Print E-mail

The UMC Judicial Council will meet from April 24-28 in Newark New Jersey to rule on the legality of Bishop Karen Oliver’s election by the Western Jurisdiction.  Her election is questioned given her disclosure that she is an out legally married lesbian. A copy of the docket filed by the South Central Jurisdiction and the UMC Council of Bishops call for prayer can be found at the hub.  A discussion of the outcome of the Judicial Council rulings will be held in the Gathering Space library at noon next Sunday, April 30. Refreshments will be provided.

 
Optimist Dinner PDF Print E-mail
The Optimist Club dinner fundraiser will be held on May 2. Kathleen Smith heads this effort and she is looking for volunteers. This dinner has been a church-wide effort for over 25 years. Please contact Kathleen Smith if you are able to help.

Upper Room devotional booklets for teh months of May/June are available. Booklets can be found on the Ministry Table in teh back of the Sanctuary at a cost of $2.00 each.
 
Cornwall Manor Blooms & More PDF Print E-mail
Mark your calendar, the Cornwall Manor Society annual Blooms & More Festival will be on Saturday, May 6 from 9AM - 2PM. Our church contributes baked goods of all kinds - cookies, breads, pies, whatever you would like to make. We are also lookng for helpers the day of the festival. The proceeds will benefit projects of the Cornwall Manor Society. There is a signup sheet at the Hub. If questions contact Sue Radocy. A flyer with more info is on the Community Board.

Undie Sunday: On April 30, everyone is encouraged to bring new packages of under-wear for adults and children. Most needed sizes are small for men, small (5, 6, & 7) for women, and larger sizes for both boys and girls.

 
All Church Spring Yard Clean Up PDF Print E-mail

Spring yard clean-up day has been rescheduled ror Saturday, May 13. Beginning at 9AM we'll work to make the grounds of Grandview ready for Spring. Bring your work gloves, rakes, shovels, and shears. Sign up at the HUB.

 
Change Purse PDF Print E-mail

As you clean out and change over your closets this spring, think of Change Purse, an organization which rehabilitates victims and survivors of human trafficking. Grandview is collecting stylish, gently used purses for this organization. The donated purses will be sold and funds raised will support this mission. Drop your purses in the large box in the Gathering Space today through April 30.

Emergency forms can be downloaded here or are available at the HUB. Please fill out the form and give it to a volunteer. Our goal is to have a form for each member. Please help us reach that goal by filling out yours today.

 
Grandview Connections PDF Print E-mail

Grandview Connections (GC) is a blog for discussing the weekly sermon content thus making connections between the pastors' words and the thoughts, feelings and actions of Grandview UMC members and friends.  The sermon is a starting point for what can be a very rich discussion about faith and will serve as a source for reflection and a building block for an online faith community that is available at any time. The blog is linked on the Grandview UMC website under Resources, or under Quicklinks.

Gift card sales continue to grow. We have Stauffer’s, Weis, Giant, Oregon Dairy and Darrenkamps cards available on Sunday mornings and in the Church office Monday through Friday from 9am to 2pm. Remember: 5-10% of your purchases are pure profit to Grandview and help with our mission commitments. If you haven’t gotten  in the habit, why not start now and help Grandview with this important ministry.

Continuing Opportunity- Direct Deposit PDF Print E-mail

This form brings a new opportunity for giving. The form is an authorization agreement for direct deposit of your giving. The forms can be filled out and mailed to the church office to the attention of the financial secretary.

 
Save Those Box Tops & Labels PDF Print E-mail

They are valuable to Red Bird Mission and Clinic in Kentucky, a special ministry of the United Methodist Church, serving four counties in the isolated rural distressed Appalachian Mountains. Place your boxtops and labels in the marked cupboard in the back of the Sanctuary. Please note that we must have the UPC code attached to the labels to receive the points.
